Posted by

Bangkok (21 Nov. 2013) The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Thailand held its first annual International Peace Symposium on the theme of The Pathway to Peace. The event hosted an exhibition of holy books, books on contemporary issues and world peace with a religious perspective. The exhibition also included artistically designed posters for the depiction of Islamic concepts of interfaith harmony and need for dialogue to enhance deeper understanding of Islam.

The newly released book: World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace by His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Supreme Spiritual Leader of the World Wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was also launched in the event. Representing Islam, the keynote speaker H.E. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz OBE stressed on the inherent nature of all world religions that promote peace. “Peace requires humility, honesty, trustworthiness, righteous conduct, and equitable treatment of all members of a given society. Thus the foundation of peace rests upon the love of the Creator in our hearts and proper respect of human life and recognition of the rights of all individuals.” He said. The event promoted its slogans ‘love for all, hatred for none’ and ‘Love of country is part of faith’ in Thai and English languages.

The event attracted over 70 delegates from various backgrounds faiths.

‘The Pathway to Peace’ is part of the International series of Peace Symposia organized by the community around the world. For more information on the event and the community, visit: www.ahmadiyya.or.th or www.loveforallhatredfornone.org
