The Bluff

Mulla Nasrudin arrived at a village shouting angrily:

“I have lost my saddle bag. Hurry up and find it, or else I’ll do with your village what I did to the other
village!”

The frightened villagers scattered around looking for the missing bag until someone found it.

“What would you have done,” said the villagers, “had we not been able to find your saddle
bag?”

“Well,” replied Mulla smiling, “I would have left your village and gone to another looking for
it.”
