The Muslim Warfare: Always to Create Peace

This is as much an “Undeniable Material Fact” as the staunch of Physical Laws that the Wars fought by The Holy Prophet of Islam – Muhammad – {peace and blessings be upon him, always} had multilateral consequences in Political, Social, Commercial, Punitive and Peace Fostering spectrums.

At the same time, it is also a “FACT” that His warfare set examples of “Purposeful Wars” in comparison to the wars waged because of Ethnic Rivalry, Commercial Interests, National Prejudices, Tribal Enmity and Faith Bias.

Far goes the subject to establish peace by means of an active war when all other means fail to inculcate a common understanding of peaceful co-existence and to reverse the infringement of mutual rights and responsibilities.

Out of the aggregate of His Military Orders of the Day (sermons) it emerges like a “Strange Wonder” as what He Preached and what some of His followers chose to conclude and practice.

On the neutral turf of reading; The Holy Prophet of Islam – Muhammad – pbuh; permitted only two kinds of warfare:

1.    Defensive

If aggression is wedged upon your sovereignty then fight it back to alleviate it and restore peace.

2.    Preemptive

Keep yourself prepared to defend your sovereignty.

He never preached the “Muslims to Initiate any Aggression and Cause a War”.

In aggregate of his “Martial Orders of Day” (sermons) to his soldiers; the following are the highlights:

A Muslim Soldier, even in a state of active war is “FORBIDDEN” to:

1. Destroy a Standing Crop – just to inflict a loss to the enemy.
2. Cut a Fruit Bearing Tree.
3. Attack any Ailing Person.
4. Attack Women, Children and the Elderly.
5. Kill Livestock.
6. Mutilate any Corpse.
7. Demolish any Place of Worship.

Bless, O Allah, Muhammad and the people of Muhammad, as Thou didst bless Abraham and the people of Abraham. Thou art indeed the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.

Prosper, O Allah, Muhammad and the people of Muhammad, as Thou didst prosper Abraham and the people of Abraham. Thou are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.
