The Dutch employment rate according to European calculations is 5.1%, the second lowest in the EU, behind Austria (4.1%), the Eurostat statistics office said on Monday.

The average unemployment rate throughout the EU is 11.1% – or 17.5 million people. Spain has the highest jobless total at nearly 25% while the Greek rate rose to almost 22% over the past year, Eurostat says.

    Well, they are not considering Switzerland, which seems to be out of Europe.

    Switzerland Unemployment Rate

    The unemployment rate in Switzerland was last reported at 3.1 percent in April of 2012.

    Historically, from 1995 until 2012, Switzerland Unemployment Rate averaged 3.3700 Percent reaching an all time high of 5.4000 Percent in March of 1997 and a record low of 1.6000 Percent in November of 2000.
