Kashmiri People are disillusioned with the Pakistan funded Hurriyat to such an extent that Hurriyat leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Khan were assaulted by the locals when they want to pay a visit to the burnt-down Dastageer shrine. Shabir Shah’s face was blackened. Although people were angry about the burning of the revered shrine and with the government for failing to protect it, they have not let the separatist Hurriyat hijack their anger. This marks a turnaround in the course of separatist politics in the state.

Very bad. As a nation it shows we do not act upon our moral and social values/teachings which is alarming.

Let us take it in a different manner and compare it with the Pashtun uprising against Taliban. It’s good that Pashtuns and Kashmiris have realised the need to pursue constructive behavior. On the other hand Tajiks and other Afghans are quite educated and advanced than Pashtuns. Many go for higher education. Some in India like the friends i have from Khost and some who attend universities elsewhere(Turkey).
Let me share the story of Afghan(Pashtun in particular) reprisal against Taliban in case it remained unnoticed.

And it emphasizes the point that Kashmiris want to handle their own case without outside indulgence.
In a recent symposium here in San Francisco Bay Area ( posted elsewhere under Kashmir Freedom) speakers made compelling arguments that it was repugnant that Indian and Pakistan do bilateral talks between them without the inclusion of Kashmir representation.
The many UN resolutions and sound pinions of leading authorities and newspaper point to the fact that Kashmir is an independent nation and an affiliate of either. Kashmir, therefore, should be allowed its own independent living.

what can one say about it. These people that claim to be true Muslims lack any mannerism.
