“Like the Bee, gathering honey from different flowers, the wise man accepts the essence of different scriptures and see only the good in all” (Srimad Bhagavatam 11:3)

Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is like honey for you: If you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. (13, 14. Proverb 24. The Holy Bible)

Then their father Israel said to them, “If it must be, then do this: Put some of the best products of the land in your bags and take them down to the man as a gift—a little balm and a little honey, some spices and myrrh, some pistachio nuts and almonds. (Genesis 43:11, Holy Bible)

The honey tongued (madhubhani)  is one who speaks words that are blameless, pleasing to ear, lovely, appealing to the heart, urbane, coveted by many and fascinating to many. [Prophet Buddha (a.s.),Abhidhamma Pitaka, Puggalapaññatti]

Lo! I am weary of my wisdom, like the bee that hath gathered too much honey; I need hands outstretched to take it.  I would fain bestow and distribute, until the wise have once more become joyous in their folly, and the poor happy in their riches. [Prologue1, Thus Spake Zarathustra]

Distrust all those who talk much of their justice! Verily, in their souls not only honey is lacking. And when they call themselves “the good and just,” forget not, that for them to be Pharisees, nothing is lacking but- power! [29, The Tarantulas, Thus Spake Zarathustra]

It is the honey in my veins that maketh my blood thicker, and also my soul stiller.”- “So will it be, O Zarathustra,” answered his animals, and pressed up to him; “but wilt thou not today ascend a high mountain? The air is pure, and today one seeth more of the world than ever.”- “Yea, mine animals,” answered he, “ye counsel admirably and according to my heart: I will today ascend a high mountain! But see that honey is there ready to hand, yellow, white, good, ice-cool, golden-comb-honey.  [61, The Honey Sacrifice, Thus Spake Zarathustra]

[16:69] And thy Lord has inspired the bee, saying, ‘Make thou houses in the hills and in the trees and in the trellises which they build.

[16:70] ‘Then eat of every kind of fruit, and follow the ways of thy Lord that have been made easy for thee.’ There comes forth from their bellies a drink of varying hues. Therein is cure for men. Surely, in that is a Sign for a people who reflect.

[47:16] The similitude of the Garden promised to the righteous is: Therein are  streams of water which corrupt not; and streams of milk of which the taste changes not; and streams of wine, a delight to those who drink, and streams of pure honey. In it will they have all kinds of fruit,  and forgiveness from their Lord [The Holy Quran] (Refer Tafsir Kabir commentary)

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas(r.a.): The Prophet said, “Healing is in three things: cupping, a gulp of honey or cauterization, (branding with fire) but I forbid my followers to use cauterization (branding with fire).”(Hadis Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 585)

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri(r.a.): A man came to the Prophet and said, “My brother has some abdominal trouble.” The Prophet said to him “Let him drink honey.” The man came for the second time and the Prophet said to him, ‘Let him drink honey.” He came for the third time and the Prophet said, “Let him drink honey.” He returned again and said, “I have done that ‘ The Prophet then said, “Allah has said the truth, but your brother’s abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey.” So he made him drink honey and he was cured.(Hadis Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 588)
